Medicine

Usually when clinic/hospital dispense medicine to a patient, how long can the medicine be kept until it expires?

Anyone knows?

In Malaysia, it simply do not have an expiry date printed on the botol/packet

pill forms usually from 2-5 yrs; liquid/gel forms about 12-24 months, degrades faster if not stored in cooler place or fridge

Before you leave counter, you should ask them :) they assume patient should finish all within the prescribed period, if not you better throw away after 3 months

if you get from shops that medicine doesnt display proper expiry date (or date of manufacture) and ingredients, i won't recommend u to buy or buy it if it seems cheaper/useful
